Back Elks Current News Make Exalted Ruler, Douglas Nyle Thomas Pay!  Instuctions to make your pledge at the end of this message.FROM HONOLULU ELKS 616 EXALTED RULER To my honorable family of Americans and Elks, As Elks do we act upon our conviction to help children of America while others wait? We must select a way to help the children of America which appeals to our level of loving and giving while embracing it with the natural patriotic passion of Elks. If we want to be happy in giving and gifting, will we naturally have conviction to care? I for one thank and honor those Elks that have created our Major Project (MP) and Elks National Foundation (ENF) for I have witnessed what MP and ENF do for the lives that these Elk charities touch. This year we are very fortunate to have many great committee chairs. Two very passionate and loving Elks: Robinson K Kepaa, Leading Knight, chairman of the MP, and Deborah G. Knight, Loyal Knight, chairman of the ENF. Because of their dedication, devotion and drive to put in the hours coming up with ways to financially help our children of America through these charities, I am making this challenge and request to the Elks of Lodge 616 to help their crusade and mission by offering $10,000. That's right, $10,000 big ones to MAKE DOUG PAY! is this ringing any bells? Here is how it works: 1. When the equivilant of monies collected towards the Major Project equals $100 per member of Lodge 616 between April 2008 -- March 31, 2009, I will donate $5000 to the Major Project. 2. When the equivilant of monies collected towards the Elks National Fund equals $100 per member of Lodge 616 between April 2008 -- March 31, 2009, I will donate $5000 to ENF. Together ELKS AS ONE GET IT DONE can help end suffering in many childrens' lives. I know I do not have to bring reason to your minds, for as Elks we give because we love helping others. Please help me give $10,000 to our MP and ENF charities - and yes I, as your ER, have already given my $100 to both the MP and ENF this year to help MAKE DOUG PAY! Be proud and make your money talk to help youth education, and children walk. The end result is all up to you, the members of Lodge 616. The possibilities are endless.
